It was busy in the club, but Mitzi was on her break, and she was thankful for it. She was in the break room, which was plush and furnished thanks to Eden utterly refusing to have it look dull, sprawled out on a rather cushioned couch, her legs across the lap of a certain dark gentleman. She had a brown paper bag folded on her lap with a diagonal-cut peanut butter and jelly sandwich there, and a small bag of Lays potato chips on the table next to a can of Dr. Pepper.

"Have I told you how much I love that you remember I need to eat at some point?" she asked, crunching down on a chip. She tilted her head a little and smiled at him.

"Just do me a favour and try not to get used to it. I told Lucien I would be back to the guild late because I had to drop some things off at my apartment, which just happens to be close to where you work," Zaine said, giving her a Look. The last thing he needed was Mitzi outing him - to anyone. That he was here was against the very definition of how people knew him.

Mitzi looked insulted. "You don't give me any credit. If anyone asks, I'll volunteer that the lunch fairy thought I was worthy to enjoy something before I kicked off the rest of my eight hour shift. Besides, I kind of like that you're only nice to me. If word got out, I wouldn't be special anymore."

"I like that your motivation not to ruin me has more to do with you being selfish than your concern for me," he said dryly. His black cell phone buzzed in its little clip, and he glanced down at it. "Okay, kiddo - I'm needed elsewhere. Let me know when you get home. Who's walking you?" he asked as he moved her legs and stood up.

Mitzi removed the food from her lap and placed it carefully on the table, and then stood up. She was still short standing next to him, but that might have been due to her heels, which rested next to the couch, blissfully not on her tiny feet. "Wesley," she said with a smile. She enjoyed watching Zaine glare for a moment, before she struck him lightly on the arm. "Wesley, Aimee, Mel and Josh. Okay? Chill out, killer. I'll be fine," she assured him.

"Just call me," he said sternly. He gave her the briefest of hugs, and then slipped out the back just as someone else came into the room. Mitzi took that as her sign to hurry up and stuffed the rest of her lunch down as fast as she could. She slipped her shoes on, literally hopping into them as she hurried towards the door, and went down the small hall into the actual club itself. There was already a line forming at the bar. She jumped over it gracefully, and then turned to look at the group of people.

"What can I get for you?" she asked, her voice perky.

Better wake up little sleepy head,
The big old world will pass us by,
So many things we could do instead,
Get what you want with your lucky eyes

Lothaire

"Vodka....on the rocks...Top Shelf"

Lothaire did NOT tolerate well alcohol. He was used to the best, from his mortal Aristocratic life and his inflated sense of vampire entitlement as part of Midnight.  He looked the bar tender over, she was quite lovely....and Lily did need a playmate....It was time to turn his latent French charm on perhaps. Really, it was quite brave of him to be here anyway after he and Dimitri had kidnapped a stripper from here and beat her within an inch of her life.  He looked her up and down again and decided she was worthy. He called up his almost forgotten French accent and looked straight into her eyes, flexing his mental powers slightly.

"So why do they keep a lovely woman such as yourself hidden behind the bar here?"
War, pain suffering
The price we pay to stay alive
Blood, fire, death
This world will burn!

Mike Anderson

Mike heard the lame long haired dude next to him try to hit on the bartender. He laughed and threw his hand out so she would see him.

"Hey! Hey! Whiskey and and coke and I don't care about top shelf shit like this douche beside me!"

He didn't know Lothaire was a Midnight Vamp, nor did he care, Lothaire was a dick.
