Zel sat quietly on the ride home, looking out the window at the flickering lights, looking with some wonder at everything that was racing by. The world... there was so much more in it then she had ever known, and there was still so much more that she'd never seen. It was mind-boggling to contimplate, when she considered all the new things she'd seen since being sold. To be honest, she was glad she'd been sold. Look at all that kept on happening to her!

And so Zel sat still and looked at the passing signs, the houses, the stores, the thousands of other cars, and wondered at it all.

And then they were back, and Ivy was telling Zel to go inside, and so she did. She turned back into a fox a few steps past the door, then trotted down the hall and into her room, curling up in a corner and chewing absentmindedly on a soft toy while she thought about it all.

Ivy Dee

As soon as the door to the house had closed, Ivy turned on the steps and jammed her pointer finger into Ricky's chest so hard she nearly knocked him off the stairs.

"Why should I have to sell Zel in order for you to tell me where the Rajar is?" she demanded angrily. Her voice was high-pitched and cartoonish, like one of the many angry anim? characters people were familiar with. She shoved him again, and advanced, still yelling. "You're just jealous because I pay so much attention to her!"

Ricky growled and allowed Ivy's prodding for a few moments, but on that last note, he snatched her finger and broke it. She gasped in pain, but stopped yelling long enough for him to speak.

"You do pay too much attention to her, Ivy, and she has become spoiled because of it. See how she parades around like she owns the house? Did you see her snap her teeth at me at dinner?" he countered, shoving her hand back at her.

She snapped her finger back into alignment and laughed at him. "You're jealous of my little white fox? Oh.. Oh, Ricky, are you threatened by my PET?" she asked increduously, laughter bubbling in her words.

Ricky folded his arms and glared daggers at her. "I'm not telling you how to get the Rajar until that little mongrel is gone. Sold. Vanished. Furthermore, you can count on me being absent until that happens, too. Have a nice night, sis," he snapped harshly into her ear, leaning close to the stunned vampire before he vanished into the thin air.

Ivy stood there for a moment. How DARE he speak to me that way?! she thought to herself, stomping back up the steps of the house. She stopped as she walked by Zel's room, and just stared at the fox angrily for a moment, before storming off down the hall.

Zel was in her room, nibbling at her toy, when the vampires began to argue, and they were being loud enough that she could hear what they were saying. She flattened her ears down do her skull and buried her head under her brush, since she didn't think Ivy would like her hearing what they were saying, but she could anyway.

She didn't like what was being said, and whined softly - an involuntairy reaction - when she heard that Ivy would sell her. Because after all, didn't Ivy want the rajar more then she wanted her? Yes, she would sell Zel, as was only right... but she wished she didn't have to.

Zel did not like Ricky at all, and liked him even less when he called her a mongrel. I am not a mongrel! she thought angrily, supressing a growl. She wasn't! And then he was gone, and Ivy was coming past - and she paused at the open door to glare in at Zel. The little fox looked up at the vampire with wide, mismatched eyes, and then, once Ivy was gone, Zel flattened her ears again as she squeezed her eyes shut and tried to hide under her brush. Ivy was angry at her. She hated that feeling. Hated, hated, hated.

Ivy Dee

Ivy lingered in her room a moment before tearing back into the hall, overturning tables and vases and anything glass she could get her hands on. She ripped an old painting off the wall and hurled it at a nearby housekeeper, who shrieked and ran in the opposite direction.

"ZEL," she screamed. When the fox came running out into the hallway to see what her Mistress wanted*, Ivy just stood there for a moment, forcing back all her emotions.

Smoothly, she spoke. "Pack your things. I'm taking you to Midnight tomorrow."

*This is assuming, of course, that Zel does come when she's called. o.O

Zel continued to hide under her tail with her eyes squeezed shut as crashes and splinterings and crunches and a rending tear came from the hallway outside her room.

"ZEL!"

The little fox jumped up and ran out to Ivy, stopping and shifting back once she was in front of her. "Yes, Mistress?"

"Pack your things. I'm taking you to Midnight tomorrow."

"Yes, Mistress," she said once again, then turned around and walked back to her room to begin doing as commanded. She sighed a little once she was in the door, but didn't hesitate in taking out a bag and beginning to stow her things in it. If, after all, it would make Ivy happy....

Of course she came! Zel is a very good little pet, except when she's not. *laughs*

Ivy Dee

As soon as the little fox had rushed back into the room to pack, Ivy put her fist through one of the decorative pillars that stood just on the inside opening of the house. She growled as servants ran left and right to try and clean after her, but it was no use. Hurricane Ivy had already done the damage.

Ivy didn't want to sell Zel; Zel was completely obediant and actually quite pleasant to have around. She didn't do too much of getting in the way, and in her fox form was rather adorable. Ivy looked down at her phone and all the little shimmering crystals Zel had glued on it, and then threw it down the hall.

SMACK. A maid screamed as the phone smashed her in the face. Ivy didn't care, though. She had other phones.

"Get me the Mercedes," she snapped to another butler.

Chaos in the halls, chaos and screams and crashes and all manner of sounds of distruction. Zel shivered slightly at it and quickly finished stowing her things - well, she didn't have too much. More then she'd had before, but she was still not exactly loaded down with material goods.

She walked back out to the door. "When will we be leaving, Mistress?" she asked in a rather small voice, looking up at Ivy. "I'm ready."

Ivy Dee

"Now," she replied gruffly. She didn't even look back at Zel as she passed by her room. Her heels slapped against the marble floor wickedly, making noises that could drive a man insane if they listened to it long enough.

She flopped down into the Mercedes and stared out the window, refusing to look or speak to anyone else, save the simple instructions to the driver.

"Take us to Midnight."

"Now."

Zel looked up for a second, startled, and then scooped up her bag and half ran to catch up with the vampire as she stormed out towards the car. Ah, Zel hated it when people were mad!

She ran and caught up with Ivy just as the car pulled up, and that was a relief because it meant that the woman wouldn't get mad at Zel for making her wait further. Without a word she slipped in onto the black leather, then put her bag between her feet and looked down at her shoes. Though it was her habit to travel as a fox, she didn't this time. Instead she tried to be as quiet as she could, as the car pulled away towards Midnight.
