Image guidelines are as follows for user profiles.

Personal Photos
  • The new maximum dimensions for a Personal Photo (PP) are 350 pixels wide by 600 pixels high.  
  • As always, keep the images tasteful.  If I have to define 'tasteful' for you to figure out if a picture should be used, then play it safe and don't use it.
  • If you wish you use any images, please make sure that you host them yourself. Hotlinking isn't cool.
Signatures
  • You CAN continue to use text instead of or with an image.
  • The maximum dimensions permitted for signature banners are 500 pixels wide by 150 pixels high.
  • Keep it tasteful, please.
  • Once again, please don't hotlink.
Avatars
  • The maximum dimensions for an Avatar are 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.
  • Please be tasteful.
  • If you do not wish to upload an avatar onto the internet, then it is possible to save it to your machine and just upload it from there. In any case, make sure that it is being hosted somewhere other than where you found it.
