Fiona (to Trevor): It was beyond pathetic. You yelled her name at every blonde chick we saw hoping it would be her. Then you puked your corn dog

There was a sharp rap on his window, and Marcus Vida cringed outwardly. His fourteen year old sister was asleep in the next room, and undoubtedly woke as quickly as he did when such things occured that did not normally.

He got up, leaving his AIM window open on his computer, and whipped back the curtain, though the sensation of familiarity never did die when Riese was around. Riese Smoke, startled that Marcus hadn't been asleep like normal sixteen year-olds are at midnight (yeah, right) fell backwards onto the rose bush, and there was a muffled cry as he recieved thorns directly to the behind of his jeans.

Marcus pushed the window open, hazel-green eyes wide with amusement. "That's what you get for sneaking out. Aren't you supposed to be the good Witch?" he teased, watching the fallen Riese below.

Riese held his hands out in a "Who, me?" sort of fashion, and then managed to get his bearings back again. "Come on, man. There is a huge party going on at the old Wellman place, and Griff is already there."

Griffon, Marcus, and Riese. The Three Amigos. Between the two Witches and one human, the town wasn't safe. Marcus shrugged on some clothing before leaping out his window, clearing the bushes with a sort of grace that Riese simply did not posses. And it was a wonder - Marcus had been trained since he could walk in the fine art of beating the unholy shit out of the undead. Riese was slightly more passive, preferring to either stay uninvolved, or just only a little involved if he could help it.

While Celeste Vida and Tamara Smoke had never seen eye to eye, Celeste had reluctantly let the boys play together as children, knowing that they shared something in common none of the other children had. In the fifth grade, Griffon Reich joined their duo, and the three had been inseperable ever since.

Marcus slapped Riese on the back as the two boys walked towards the car, an 88 Monte Carlo SS. "What's your hair all done up for anyways? Gonna meet a girl?" He drew the world 'girl' out for a long time, putting extra emphasis on the 'i'.

Riese snorted as he opened his door, and pointed at Marcus across the roof of the car. "Cut your hair, hippie." He got into the car and started it, thankful that he'd parked a decent amount away from the Vida house.

"You know, I've been thinking. Since you're all... 'I just want to help', shouldn't you have the long hair?" Marcus picked, pulling on his seatbelt.

Riese glared at him. "I have to keep up an image for the ladies."

When they arrived at the huge Wellman mansion that crested the egde of town, they met up with Griffon almost immediatly. Shaggy blonde hair poked out from a little black knit-cap that a drunk freshman was trying to tug over his eyes. He was laughing and trying to keep away from her, and nearly spilled his beer on himself in doing so.

"Whoa guys, what took you so long?!" he cheered, holding up his beer in a toast. "You just missed Jessica Fowler doing a kegstand! Can you believe it? That quiet girl who cries when she has to answer questions aloud?" He laughed harshly, taking a sip of his Miller Light.

Marcus and Riese had a quiet laugh on the matter, but neither of them got quite as much out of it as he did. They looked around, realizing that most of the party had made their way inside.

"Come on, guys. I met some hot chicks from that private school I want to introduce you to," Griff said, turning on his foot to lead the way back to the house. As they walked towards it, both Marcus and Riese became increasingly uneasy, and when Griff tugged the door open, it hit them both like a wall.

There were at least twenty vampires in the main rooms, most of them they recognized as students. Their auras were quite weak, but together it was a creeping sensation on their flesh, and it took both of them quite a bit to relax in the environment.

Griff offered them both beers, and they drank them, though the drinks did nothing for them. Riese got up eventually and wandered off, presumably to talk to the girls that Griff had met, leaving Marcus to his own thoughts. He couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right about this, but since there was absolutely zero conflict going on, or had happened since he'd been there, he would remain guarded, but not totally closed off.
