A fun piece, taking place with Dom and Vin in the car, Dom driving.  Now we see why Vin won't let Dom drive his car. ;) Comments welcome.
=============================

"Dom, be careful with her, she's an old Chevy Nova-Ahhhhhhh!"

Contrary to popular belief, which Domingos Verde would encourage wholeheartedly, Vin Kiev was no lunatic. Rather, he was quite sane, and had just cause to worry about Domingos driving his car. The 39 year old Spaniard was just a little out of his mind, and had been for the entire time Vin had known him. Ten years. Dom had been the one who brought him into Bruja, trained him, and been his partner in the years since. The Bruja Hunting Guilds were an organization to manage supernatural forces, usually violently. Though Vin usually loved his job, this wasn't one of those days. Dom driving was scary, but to chase an escaping vamp? Cover your eyes. And pray. A lot.

"Are you aware that 'No va' means 'doesn't go' in Spanish? Why are you English-speakers so stupid?" the man asked conversationally, though that smirk clearly said he knew exactly how crazy his driving was about to make Vin.

"Dom! DOM! Red light, that was RED! Oh, God, you're gonna kill us!" The man had a few veins popping out of his forehead. How interesting.

"Why would someone name a car that obviously moves rather well 'Nova'?"

"I don't---RED!! Dom, stop the car, stop now. Now! Dom, STOP!!"

Dom didn't stop, but flew through intersection after busy intersection with Vin screaming and hiding his eyes behind his hands. Of course, he was peeking, otherwise he wouldn't be screaming. Squealing tires weren't THAT ominous.

"Dom, please, if you have an ounce of mercy in that black heart, stop the car."

"One moment," Dom returned quietly, running the last light necessary and actually grinning as he knew the young vamp realized something rather important. That last turn was a dead end.

He braked and turned the car to avoid joining the mess that was the other car, and stepped out of the Chevy Nova to light his cigarette. Vin didn't like him smoking in the Nova, and he liked to respect his friend's wishes.

"You are NEVER driving my car again, Verde," Vin gasped, jumping out and trying to calm his racing heart.

"Well, we caught him. Would you prefer to pry him off the steering wheel, or shall I?"

Hee, thanks. ^_^ What's really funny is that I handed that in for my final exam essay in my English class.
