Persephone laughed aloud when he expressed interest in finding the vampires and fucking with them. "I don't know anything about any of the vampires outside of here who I haven't had direct contact with. If it's an Akka, I'd try Mayhem. It should be a ghost town right now because of all of this. As for Raphael, what I can tell you is that he's not here. For all I know, he's stuck in Europe somewhere trying to catch a flight home."

The murmur of a female voice in the background could be heard, and Persephone sighed. "I need to go. Verity is awake and Cerberus and I have a lot of work to do. I'll talk to you later. Oh, Darren," she barked, before she forgot. "I don't know how long this is going to last, so don't try anything stupid." She paused. "But I will tell you this, in case you haven't already noticed... vampires that are older? They're not going to be how you remember them. Vampirism changes you."

She turned and watched as several of the people gathered in the sitting room so that they could discuss what to do. Betty was uncharacteristically hospitable, particularly as she poured Stefan a glass of scotch and then sat down next to him, crossing her long legs at the ankles. Persephone had never seen Betty do a damn thing for anyone but herself.

"Yeah, they're definitely not going to be the same. I need to go." And with that, she hung up.
