Somewhere along the lines, Felicia got the idea that Timber's bad habits could be curbed if only there were some way to make the girl feel guilty. Since Timber didn't actually posses the ability to feel guilt (she'd joked most often that she did not have the guilt gene), Felicia was trying to find more creative ways to kick-start the process, hoping that if she could make her feel even a modicum of remorse, it would open the flood gates and get Timber to behave in a more humane way.

This time, there was an epidemic of her favourite candy being eaten, and since Zeke hated the Care Bears Gummy Bears and the only other person who had a key to the apartment was Timber, Felicia knew who the culprit had to be. She went to see Transformers 3 with Zeke earlier in the day, and before she left the theatre, she bought an extra box so that she could try and teach Timber a lesson in humility.

Presently, Timber stood in Felicia's apartment, usually vibrant turquoise eyes narrowed and beady as she spied the sky-coloured box of rainbow confectioneries. She couldn't, for the life of her, understand why they'd been set on the counter in the kitchen with one of her sister's hall mirrors propped up behind it. Curiously, she set down her keys on the kitchen table and walked forward with slow, deliberate steps, hands thrust into the pockets of her rather flattering camouflage-patterned cargo pants. She tilted her head to the left sharply, a bird-like movement (one of many that she characteristically did), and looked around the kitchen. Something about this felt like a trap. Or a trick.

Next to the box of tiny delightful treats was a handwritten note, which read, "Timber, if you come over, help yourself to anything in the fridge but please don't eat these. Love, Flea."

Timber picked up the note and examined it, then set it back down on the counter. Was this some sort of test, perhaps? "OH," she said, suddenly understanding the presence of the mirror. "I see what you did there..." she muttered aloud. The mirror was so that if Timber did choose to ignore the note and eat the candy, she'd have to watch herself doing it. That, presumably, was to make her feel ashamed and guilty.

Timber decided she never looked better with twenty tiny candy bears jammed into her mouth.
