Frank had heard more than a few rumors about his boss being a bit of a boozer, and finally in light of some recent events had decided to test the theories going around. He had a half gallon of Wild Turkey in one hand, and a 12 of Abita Purple Haze in the other. He marched right up to Batten's office door and started kicking the fuck out of it. He had seen Connor come in earlier, so he knew he was in there. He also knew something strange was brewing in Bruja...Mike had all the House security cam feeds hacked and had real time intel on all 3 houses at all times. Mike had let Frank know that something bad had happened at Onyx, then Mike's sorta friend Sarah at Frost had gone off on a mysterious mission after asking Mike for a couple strange and kinda telling favors. So Frank figured the best way to find out what was up was to go to a Guild Leader, and Connor was the only one he half way knew, so there it was.

After a minute of kicking nothing happened, so Frank looked at the light pouring out from under the door and set down the handle of Turkey and turned the knob. He slowly pushed the door open to reveal Connor at his desk doing some sort of paper work.

"Push that shit aside man, its time for happy hour, and I brought you some of Louisiana's finest beer which was a bitch to get up here, and some good damn whiskey...come on boss man, let's tie one on!"

Connor Batten

What Frank obviously failed to realize was that there was a reason Connor hadn't answered the door - and it was now crying in Capricia's arms as she shot him a terribly wicked glare. "Could you have possibly woken our daughter up any more abruptly?" she demanded. She was tired, clearly, and had just gone to pick the once-sleeping Anya up to take her home. Connor had a slow day, so he'd been babysitting while Capricia and Audrey had caught up on some training. Now that she was worn out, mommy and baby were headed home for some much-needed rest.

And now Anya was going to be impossible to silence.

"Great," she said, staring at the alcohol. "Well, I'm going to go try and run Elke down to see if she can work some of her voodoo to put Anya back to sleep." It was amazing to even hear Capri say it - it was a long way off from how she'd felt initially. She bent over the desk with screaming baby and gave Connor a kiss on the cheek. "Be home at an acceptable time?" she suggested. She nodded to Frank as she walked out of the office, closing the door with a slam behind her. Not like being quiet would help anything now.

There were a number of things that Frank didn't seem to realize.  One was the situation with Capri and Anya being present in the office with him while he tried to pound out some paperwork so they could all go home, and the other was that he was bonded to Elke, and therefore couldn't really get drunk.  It was possible, but not at all probable.  He was pretty sure that the only thing that would do it was Aristide's Mojo Juice, and it didn't sound like Frank had any.

His head had shot up when he heard the kicking at his door, and his first instinct was to get the gun that he had attached to the underside of his desk in hand and prepared to blow someone's head off.  Capri and their baby girl were in the room, and he wasn't tolerating any sort of threat to them.  Of course, then Frank opened the door, nearly got Connor to fire on him, and started shouting about drinking.  Excellent.  Connor shot Capri a discreet look, gauging her reaction, and it was basically as he'd expected, considering the amount of crying Anya was doing.

"If you want to head home, I'll ask her if she could meet you there," he offered, and he knew that Elke would agree.  The two women got along, and Elke adored Anya, so the vampire tended to take any chance she had to soothe the child.  Connor had gotten extremely lucky.

He was torn on this one.  He wanted to go home and put both of his ladies to bed, but he hadn't exactly been doing as much partying as before (not being able to get drunk kind of killed that) and Frank never came looking for attention.  He could humor the guy, and see what was up.  "I'll do my best," he promised Capri about getting home at an 'acceptable time', and he meant it.  He could manage a balance, though.

"Niiiiice going, Frank," he finally offered after the door slamming had finished reverberating through the room.  Frankly, he thought that if the door DIDN'T slam when Capri left his office, it'd be a miracle.  He was used to it by then.  "What's up?"

Frank looked around the room as Connor's woman and child appeared, then vanished as the door pushed further open. "Hey man, I just heard that ya know....some times you like to have ya a good drink and I brought some damn fine beer. And you know...some decent whiskey...actully some fucking nice whiskey..."

Frank really didn't like bird dogging for Mike's friend Sarah, so if she was in trouble and Bruja had no clue then no foul maybe?
