Jack very likely would have heard voices in the hallway, by some point. Acacia stood, with a sweater on that Daniel had requested brought to her by one of his 'colleagues', people who took care of Acacia when he was gone, and she leaned against the doorway, arms folded as she looked over the chart. Her eyes flicked back up to Thane.

"We can't let her stay here very long, or they're going to know," she said softly. "Isn't there somewhere else we can take her? She's started to heal already - the nurse has made notes about it." She gripped the board in her hand, ready to run and burn it.
