Elliot sat in a chair waiting on the arrival of the police. He didn't want to break the news about the fire, but he knew that it would be best if he was there when it happened. He also needed to know the extent of the damage to the supernatural world. He knew that several vampires and witches lived in that area, and he knew that a few of them were outspoken about some issues that they disagreed with. He just hoped that this fire was some sort of strange accident and not an attack from somewhere... Things were getting out of control in the vampire world. It seemed as though different vampire factions were more angry with each other than usual. Elliot sat up abruptly as he heard the front door slam....It must be time.

"Officers...Are you ready to proceed?"

Elliot looked down the hall and glanced regretfully at the light shining out from under an office door. What a horrible business this was going to be...
