Aurora Snow

With Aurelius suddenly having a more pressing matter to tend to with a gaggle of college students on a research project who had just bombarded the library floor, Aurora went alone with Wilhelm to get coffee, and a snack, too. She realized that she hadn't eaten in a little while and a muffin sounded really good right then. As they walked, she made little shadow puppets against the buildings and window-shopped, seeming to generally enjoy being outside and in the air.

"So are you getting adjusted?" she asked casually, stopping at a crosswalk to wait for the little man to light up. She was glad they'd put timers on the things now. Usually they would just suddenly change, and she couldn't keep track of how many seconds it'd been when she was sprinting across six lanes of traffic avoiding cars.

(( You're brilliant))

Wilhelm enjoyed the walk to the coffee shop. The journey was quite pleasant and Aurora led him by shops selling things he had never seen before. The cross walks especially seemed complicated. It was like trying to cross an speeding metal, because the drivers seemed to have little regard for those trying to cross. Wilhelm paused and thought for a moment on Aurora's question.

"It has been hard getting used to life here. It is much different than my secluded sanctuary in the Holy Land, but I believe I shall grow to like it more and more here. Meeting you and West, the other decent one of my kind I have found so far, have made things easier it seems. Especially meeting you because I have all the books I can read!"

Wilhelm grinned at his little attempt at a joke. They were getting near the coffee shop, and the aroma was fantastic. It was too bad Wilhelm did not really need to eat or drink, because the wares in the shop looked delicious.

Aurora laughed - actually, she giggled. She blushed directly afterwards, looking away at something else. "Who's West?" she asked, turning back just as quickly. Another one? "Is he nice, like you? Wow, I guess there really are a lot more vampires than I thought. I'd almost no idea about Mr. Lawson until not too long ago. I sort of just ignore it, because he doesn't say anything about it, so I figure he thinks I don't know."

She finally arrived at the coffee shop she'd had in mind, and held the door open for Wilhelm. She was glad he was dressed 'normal'. From the way he spoke she'd half-bet he ran around in huge, billowing robes like some sort of strange nun. "Does your friend come to the library, too, or does he not like to read so much?"

Wilhelm caught the last bit of Aurora's thoughts about him running around in billowing robes. In truth, the only reason he was not attired in his usual robe was because it was terribly hot in the city at present, and a long hooded robe just would not be as comfortable as the slacks and button down shirt he had "borrowed" from a store several days ago.

"Why thank you for holding the door for me Aurora, though I probably should have held it for you...thats the proper way of things. Oh yes...West, he is a very decent sort for a vampire, quite a friendly one, though he does have an angry streak to him, but he would not harm a person unless he had a good reason. I believe he does frequent the library in Ramsa from time to time. So, now that we have arrived, what sort of beverage would you recommend?"

Wilhelm was more of tea drinker, just from his cultural heritage, but he was open to knew things, and the coffee did smell fantastic.

Aurora smiled sweetly, as was simply her way, and nodded her head a little. "Next time, you can get the door, then," she replied. She took a seat by the window and placed her hands atop the table, tilting her head a little as she listened to Wilhelm speak. There was something very fluffy and cute about Aurora, even in human form. It was undeniable.

"Oh, well, I like tea, too, actually. Have you ever had Chai? It's a sweet blend, has honey and vanilla in it. They serve it in shakes here, little freezers, and they serve it hot. I might just get some of that. I like coffee enough, but now you've got me thinking," she said. She tapped her fingers on the table lightly, softly enough so as not to irritate anyone, but more or less, something to do with her digits.

"A lot of people have angry streaks. You should meet my brother. Nicest guy in the world, but if you get in his way... lights out." She snapped her fingers a little. "I'm lucky to have him. Adam is the best brother anyone could ever want."

Chai, that sounding like something strangely foreign yet inviting. Wilhelm usually just had straight, strong black tea brewed in the fire place of his home. But his home was no more, and Wilhelm had taken to wandering, or spending lots of time in the library. When he tired, he slept in the park. When he hungered he fed on those that sought death. But this tea sounded refreshing, even if it was not needed for his survival.

"I have never had it, is it a foreign style of tea? It sounds refreshing though so I think I shall sample it. I must confess that I too have a streak of anger but it is buried more often than not. Is your brother...is he ahh like you? Or is he just...human."

Wilhelm was still getting used to the concept of shifters and did not know if they were both foxes just because they were related. In fact, Wilhelm really still did not understand many things in this huge city.

Aurora Snow

Aurora would have been angry if she'd found out Wilhelm had been sleeping in the park, but as it stood, he'd never told her. Actually, she'd never even though to ask about his sleeping arrangements - she'd just assumed he'd had a house or something.

"I think it is. I'm not sure where it's originated from, but it's really good," she answered, glancing over some of the pastries they had in the little glass counter. "I think I'll order a cookie, too. Ever had one? They're bits of sweet dough with chocolate pieces in them."

When the server came over, she did order that chocolate chip cookie she'd been eying, along with a medium sized Chai shake. She would definitely have to eat something healthy for dinner later, what with indulging her sweet tooth and all. Aurora was glad she couldn't catch diabetes, because she'd be ruined if she couldn't have candy anymore.

"My brother? He's my step-brother, actually, and from what I know, he's human. He goes to college here locally, works part time as a server. He's only just moved out of the house last summer, I guess he finally saved up enough money, but he's still there an awful lot. He's a family guy, I guess." She shrugged a little.
