So.  Computer = Fail.

So, for anyone who doesn't yet know, my computer decided to have a shitfit at about midnight last night.  I thought, for awhile, that it might be malware, so not only did I run MY virus scan, but I downloaded a different kind to double-check it.  Turns out, MY virus scan didn't find shit, but the one Angie suggested found 6 Trojans.  I removed them.

It didn't do a damn thing.

Called Best Buy today for info, and I was told that the only other thing that would do it would be the inverter board.  Called the manufacturer, and they gave me a number to call to ask about the cost of the part.  Part costs $69, but the manufacturer is charging about $450 for the job.  Apparently, sending it in, fixing it and buying the part, and sending it back is worth a hell of a lot more than I thought.  Naturally, spending $450 on a computer I only spent about $800 on originally really didn't make sense, especially with how quickly technology changes and advances.  Everyone who knows anything about computers that I asked suggested buying a new one.

So I did. 

Funny thing is, I have to wait and see why the hell the internet won't connect, which is why I wasn't around tonight.  Hopefully, I'll have that taken care of in the morning, and everything'll be cool.  For now, Lock went to bed and I'm borrowing her PC. 

Even funnier?  I was about a MONTH outside of my manufacturer's warranty.  Ha.

LOL most of them are inspired by our conversations LOL just found out that I some how (divine intervention?)  got accepted for my colleges Washington Semester, so I'll be in DC for 3 weeks learning stuff LOL  6 hours credit in 3 weeks....I'll take that!

Ugh, this all reminds me that I need to get all my dang email addys changed, lol... xD;; Mine are getting pretty ridiculous...

So CURSE IT, I keep getting new character ideas and I can't write profiles fast enough! x___X I have this little gaggle of characters sitting there in my head, fully formed and looking on patiently (well, no, they AREN'T all patient), while I run around like a ninny trying to clean and pack up the dorm room and try to find time in between to write snippets of their bios. *throws a boot at little gaggle of characters* I'll get to you SOON! JUST HOLD ON!!! *pause, breathe* At least my finals are done and over with. ^_^;;

(next one on my list is one of my All Hallows ladies --rar, Nicole Kidman -- which seems to be a popular place for new characters, hehe; my poor Selkie has been shoved to the back burner, unfortunately...least until Darren gets back on; and BLUE, we need to talk about Letotse at some point so I can write Robin's history ^^)

Estelore, we've already given you our opinions on the likelihood of it. If you want to make them, that's your prerogative, but I can tell you that to Danielle, the idea of sharing a man with a Smoke is repulsing. The fact that Hailee and Alex even claim the Vida last name would drive her nuts, though it doesn't bother Angela as much as you'd think it would (read: she doesn't give a shit).

The two lines have very different upbringings. If you need to, go flip back through Shattered Mirror for an idea of what growing up Vida is like.

Personally, that's too much soap-opera drama llama stuff for a new character's history.  If you come up with stuff like that IC after a character is made, that's one thing, but we try to avoid having characters running around with a soap opera history.

Um... somehow I can't see that working so easily either, given that Vidas and Smokes are so incompatible. The most (VERYMOSTATALL) that I could see even possibly happening would be maybe (MAYBE) two half witches, and even that would still be kind of unlikely.

Vidas, at least, are not exactly known for sleeping around all that much, haha.
