Lothaire

Lothaire looked up as the boy's mistress came to claim him. The boy had finally managed to choke out some semblance of an apology...but it was far less than acceptable. But now here was his pathetic mistress running to his rescue. Lothaire chuckled at her mention of someone buying him...as if he would buy such a worthless slave. He looked at the boy one last time. He tightened his grip just ever so slightly and enjoyed the rush of color in the boys face. Then with a smirk, Lothaire dropped the boy to Cerberus and turned to the female vampire. He stood over her, glaring down at her.

"Perhaps you should learn to properly break a slave before you take them out in public. By all rights, he would have been killed had he insulted a vampire, you're lucky he only insulted a bloodbond. No one is going to buy such a wretched boy, good luck with your sale. No one here is going to purchase him, unless its as a snack for one of the shifters in this room."

Lothaire pushed past her, not really caring what she had to say. The brief amusement had been welcome, and he turned to watch and see what Cerberus would do now that his chew toy was down on the floor with him.
War, pain suffering
The price we pay to stay alive
Blood, fire, death
This world will burn!

The woman narrowed her eyes at the other vampire upon hearing the insult. However the lady only curtly replied, "Thank you." when the man finally dropped him. She looked over at her current pet and eyed the wound, disgusted. The condition probably just made him cheaper now. Unfazed by the man's words, she began planning in her mind of ways to punish him. She would make Kenny remember his lessons once and for all. The boy had to be worth something or she was wasting her time, enduring his occasional shameful outbursts. The female vampire was going to get a worthwhile price out of him, even if she had to scam some idiot to do so. However, she didn't want to resort to that type of tricky dealing. Kenny was a reasonable boy in general, but she supposed she had to fix some things. Starting with his tendency to assume that others would be as lenient as her.

Landing ungracefully on the ground, Kenny scrambled away from the dog in fear. He retreated until his back touched the outlines of the couch but he didn't attempt to go on top of it again and remained on the floor. Eyeing the rest of the group warily, he meekly tended to his wounds. The vampire mistress did not give him time to do so and quickly commanded him, "Come." The boy hesitated, wanting more time alone, but reluctantly dragged himself back to her. He knew he had caused enough trouble for his mistress and she was probably going to kill him when they got back home.

Cerberus

Cerberus didn't really care for the apology, and wanted more than anything to just tackle and destroy the little human when Lothaire released him.  If it hadn't been for Hades telling him to back off, which meant he needed permission to rip a limb off.  He released the leg, not about to do anything stupid, and instead growled to remind the boy that he was still mad.

Kenny's choice not to get back on the couch was actually his best one yet, since Cerberus had just put quite a bit of effort into letting the kid know that he wasn't worth shit in this world.  That was precisely why the massive doberman jumped up on the couch again, laying down on it and staring down at Kenny as the kid's mistress told him to move.  For an instant there, he hoped the boy refused, so he could bite him again.  Maybe this time, he'd snag an ear.  That'd be worth all this trouble.  So would a finger, but that'd be harder to manage from where he was currently laying, and he wasn't giving the couch up unless someone important came along.

Like Hades.  If Hades wanted to sit down, he'd move.

Delia Westing

Delia didn't sit down on the couch next to Cerberus, but rather, on the arm of it, as Raphael had left her to her designs for the moment. He'd vanished, and she didn't openly wonder where he went anymore. She understood that it was not her concern unless he wanted it to be. Delia didn't ask questions much, these days. She watched Hades for a few seconds, wondering why Raphael wasn't like him. She'd seen Raphael be way more cruel to Narkisa than she'd witnessed Hades being to Cerberus, but on the other hand, this was one instance. She'd seen Raphael be kind, too.

She looked away after her gaze lingered long enough to detail her curiosity, and cast it down at her shoes for a few seconds, before looking up curiously at Lothaire. Delia did a lot of that these days - looking curiously. Her big, brown eyes were now a shade of honeyed amber, ringed only on the outermost of the iris with any trace of her former chocolate hue. She always seemed to have such expressive faces and gestures, like her alternate form. It was becoming harder and harder for her to separate the two - some days she felt as though she were more wolf than girl.
Who's afraid of the big bad....

She glared at him when he hesitated, slightly anxious that he would disobey and shame her publicly again. The usually composed woman didn't want to explode and have to beat him in public, in front of everyone. A small smile was brought to her lips, pleased, when he followed her orders, although in discomfort. Reassured that she had control once more, she relaxed, easily fooled by any show of submissiveness. "He isn't as worthless as you think." She said convincingly to the others, still attempting to sell him to the fellow vampires still around her. The woman opened her mouth to explain but closed it once she found nothing. To her, she hadn't completely thought about Kenny's uses, especially since half the time she was busy trying to break him in than ordering him to do all sorts of eclectic, menial deeds. She had no problem in making things up. "I'm sure he'll be entertaining for the more creative minds." But she already began to think she should come another time where Kenny's incident wouldn't be in the minds of others when she offered him up for sale. It was one of the few times that she'd taken Kenny out in public, and she'd hoped he would prove that he could behave well socially outside. She was always, pitifully wrong.

Kenny, on other hand, didn't know the vampire was planning to sell him. He looked up for a minute, confused when she spoke of him that way. He had been expecting insults and callous comments on his stupidity and actions. The boy didn't know whether to consider his mistress's words as a compliment or a twisted taunt. Entertaining? Even he felt that his company was hardly enjoyable sometimes. He liked the vampire's first comment though. Despite his disdain for his current situation, he disliked being useless and was still arrogant enough about himself to glare at anyone who considered him feeble. Most of the time, glaring was all he could do, though, without getting hurt badly in retaliation. Still meek from the recent scuffle, he remained silent, quietly sitting on the floor.
