Like a Moth to a Flame {Aristide}

Dimitri was walking down the street, brushing some dried blood from the collar of his shirt when it hit him. He felt power radiating from somewhere nearby. It was a familiar dark energy...something he had not yet encountered in America. He immediately started following this power. He turned a couple corners and then he was standing at the doorway to the Mojo Lounge. It was not a place he had ever been before, nor noticed until now. Pushing his doubts aside he opened the door and stepped inside.

There were vampires in the shadows, and shifters inside as well. This place must be one of the neutral grounds he had heard about. He knew of Hellcat's Hollow and the Triste that guarded it...but who controlled this place? Whoever it was had to be the source of the power he was feeling. Dimitri walked up to the bar and motioned the tender over.

"I'll have your best vodka, on the rocks...and can you tell me where I may find the owner of this establishment?"

The bartender handed him his drink, and almost reluctantly it seemed pointed to a darkened booth deep in the room. Dimitri could make out the dark shape of a man sitting there. Yes...that had to be him. Clasping his drink, he paid the tender and included a generous tip. He rubbed one of the arcane artifacts hanging around his neck and caught himself chanting an old "prayer" for protection that Rasputin had taught him. Calming his nerves, and steeling his reserve, he approached the dark figure seated in the booth. Dimitri usually hung back, and observed, but he was drawn to this man with the familiar power...but he also knew to be respectful, lest that power be turned on him.

As he neared the booth he stopped,and with the utmost respect spoke.

"Sir, I feel that you are a man of great power...might I have the honor of joining you and speaking with you for a few moments?"

Dimitri was direct, but respectful. Yes..this man possessed great power, greater than his and seemingly greater than that of his late mentor....
