I'm a complete music dork, so I figure this might be a good way for everyone to expand their horizons as far as music goes. I enjoy checking out new stuff. So basically, just post what you are listening to at the moment. I shall go first, and just for reference since I usually listen to strange music from Norway, I always put the artist first
Ihsahn-Unhealer
MUSIC DORKS FTW. Awesome thread. Someone's going to have to put me on a leash to keep me from posting every time a new song comes on my iTunes. =P
Frank Wildhorn - Falcon in the Dive (from the musical The Scarlet Pimpernel)
('Noni = hopeless musical theatre buff x_x)
...crap, and while I was typing it moved onto the next song...now--
Guster - I Hope Tomorrow is Like Today
Puscifer-Trekka
I'm doing some mind exploration tonight...
Within Temptation - Aquarius
(I'll only put down the REALLY cool ones from now on, lol ;) <3 symphonic rock/metal)
Strange Norwegian music sounds like it might be interesting. o_o
Gorgoroth-Carving a Giant
Thats some Norwegian Black Metal for ya!
Think that's a bit too harsh for me! xD;; If it ain't 'symphonic', my ears bleed, lol...
Let's try... Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (<3)
um, just a bit ago I was listening to Whisper by Evanescence. And... uh... the Pride and Prejudice (new one with Kiera) soundtrack, which is perdy.
My favorite theme from that movie is the one in Mr. Darcy's Letter, where the violins go all frantic....
Evanescence = :-*
Listening to "Lacrymosa" right now...dude, anything that lifts from Mozart...can't go wrong. >w<
Currently:
Moody Blues - Tuesday Afternoon
It'll change fast. :)
"Good Enough" by Evanescence.
LOVELY piano introductions. AND THE STRINGS! WOOHOO!
The Doors - Riders on the Storm
WOW, it's kind of looking like I listen to a lot of old shit. I have other types of music on here, promise. :) Shiny Toy Guns came on between them (which made for a weird contrast).

Yep, the first minute-ten of that song is wonderful! ...the rest doesn't grab me as much, but yes, the introduction is <3

Old, yes! Shit?! NO!!! 8D (turns on 'Spanish Caravan')
Jefferson Airplane-White Rabbit
Every Other Time - LFO
"Last night she did a donut on my lawn and drove off with one finger in the air~"
That's how I roll. :) Boy band style.
Dear God.....
Ihsahn-Misanthrope
More goodness from Norway
lol, we're playing DDR in the other room so I'm listening to all SORTS of stuff
RHCP - Californication
Not bad....Flea is such an awesome bass player
Mayhem-Anti
Even more goodness from Norway, this is one of the bands that started the Black Metal trend.
Not One Of Us - Disney (Lion King 2)
Wow, as I'm writing that, the song ended. XD
Now:
The Bird and the Worm - The Used

The Bird and the Worm - The Used
I. AM. ADDICTED. TO. THAT. SONG. <3<3<3
Listening to Nightwish's "Dark Passion Play" album. Pretty damn good album. *nod*
I never have been able to get into Nightwish...not sure why, just haven't.
Ihsahn-Threnody
This album is amazing, more avant garde than true black metal, and it keeps Ihsahn's tendency to give his music a more "composed sound" than most standard metal albums. And he manages to incorporate strings and symphonic elements while avoiding typical symphonic black metal cheese.

If it was ever the singer that bothered you, they dropped the old one and got someone more pop-ish. ;P
I just listened to a little Ihsahn and ehh...I guess I just don't like it if there isn't "singing" (rather than...whatever you call this hoarse shouting, lol). And synthesized symphonic metal stuff generally just makes me want to duck and cover. xD;; BUT HEY! It's all a matter of taste!
Nanne - HÃ¥ll Om Mig
Swedish pop ftw xD
Yeah, I couldn't stand the old singer in Nightwish because she was a raging attention whore and over shadowed the talent of the rest of the band. I haven't really bothered to check out any of the new stuff....
Yeah, Black Metal vocals tend to be pretty off setting if you don't like that sort of thing lol Ihsahn does do some good clean vocals though, they are just spread out all over his songs.
Rammstein-Spring
And the Germans...yeah...
Sexy Back.
Getting pumped for my clubbing this weekend. I'm on the fringe of a nervous breakdown, so some boom boom and mindless drunk action will be good.
If only Gabriel was real :-*
:D God, Gabriel's getting himself in trouble.
The Stones - Paint it Black

Yeah, I love that song.
Currently, ironically, more Stones.
The Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
The Black Dahlia Murder- Worship only what you Bleed
Killswitch Engage- The End of Heartache
If I ever get married, this fucking song is gonna be played at the wedding
Various Linkin Park atm - it's AMAZING how well most of their songs fit Ebere right now. It was just Numb and Breaking the Habit.
Moonlight Sonate.
I can't get enough Beethoven.
This song is depressing, but there is a deep yearning inside it.
It was written for a woman that he loved but couldn't marry.
I've been playing it on my piano for the last seven minutes (just stopped when I posted).
:-*
Moonlight Sonata is my favorite work of his next to the glorious 9th...mmmm
Puscifer-Vagina Mine
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds!
Woot!
Also Taxman and various other Beatles songs.
